Its innovative design and curvature promotes smooth and efficient water circulation, significantly enhancing the heating speed for your ultimate comfort.
What’s included in this kit:
Steel Coils, elevated wood basket holder for more efficient burning , coil leg stands and feet to suspend coils off the ground, high quality heat resistant rubber hoses, steel quick fit connections from the coils to your included tub connections, thermometer, and good times.
Good for:
Smaller tubs (use 3 layers of insulation if cold/freezing)
Lightweight, compact, good for travel
Additional components to consider adding:
Grill kit to cook food while your tub is heating for a full outdoor or backyard event.
Rain deflector/fire protector, for when the clouds roll in so it doesn’t dampen your plans. Seeing the bonfire still able to burn and proved you with heat while relaxing comfortable in the rain with hot water, is a very relaxing and wonderful experience.
Heat up times to 40°C (104°F) and info for various tub sizes and levels of insulation:
Heat up time for your tub really depends on the volume and starting temperature of the water you’re using, how well you’re insulating your hot tub and your coil set, and quality of wood you’re burning (dense is better). It takes a lot of energy to heat a lot of cold water. So if it’s cold where you are insulate your tub to keep the valuable heat from escaping!
Water and weather around 20 degrees our 100 gallon tub heats up in 60 minutes, with only a few pieces of insulation used.
Insulation around the coils eg. some foldable/portable patio heat reflectors, bricks, or rocks, and a heat deflector on top of the coils like listed on here (or another fireproof metal) will create a hot oven like effect around your coils. Insulation underneath the tub eg. 2x6s, wood cladding around the tub and on top of the tub are important. There are lots of budget friendly options for covers such as cut plywood covers or just a tarp with blanket on top.
Secondary to this is the temperature of water you’re using. 0 to 15° the 6 foot 170 gallon size tub we use is going to be about 2 1/2 to 3 hours +. For 15 to 25° heat up time is about 90 minutes +. There are several elements/variables when it comes to how fast you can heat your tub up.
In summary a blanket statement for all size tubs which there are many, 60 minutes to 8 hours can be estimated. For which style of tub to choose for warming up ice cold water, we recommend a smaller tub to reach hot tub temperature faster. Large tubs may work well with a dual coil kit. Our 100 gallon tub is the fastest tub to heat up on the market due to its environmentally friendly low water capacity size, and portability.
Relax, and enjoy the process.
Additional Information: To expedite the heating process of your tub, you can boil water in a pot and pour it into the tub. This method can accelerate the water heating in your tub by 30%, effectively reducing the time required to heat your tub. With the wood-fired hot tub's Stainless Steel Barbeque/Steaming/Cooking grille, you can heat your tub 30% faster while relishing a warm outdoor bath and savoring delicious food.
SAFETY INFORMATION
Exercise extra caution when using your heater coil in settings where children or animals might be present. Safety should always be the top priority.
It is recommended to perform a quick and practical safety check of the setup before igniting the coil. Ensure that the coil is positioned away from any walkways and flammable materials, among other precautions.
Be aware that your cold water inlet and hot water outlet feeds must remain submerged beneath the water level in your hot tub at all times while the coil is in operation. If the water level in your tub drops below the point where warm water is discharged from your coil, or if it falls below this level while you are using the tub, water flow through the coil will cease and just sit in the coil, leading to a dangerous situation known as 'dry firing' the coil. This can result in the release of scalding hot water or steam from the hot water outlet. This is easily avoided by ensuring the top hot water outlet is always submerged beneath water.
Additionally, ensure that legs and body parts are kept at a safe distance from the hot water outflow pathway and it does not become blocked at any time.
Ensure the top hot water outlet is ALWAYS SUBMERGED IN WATER
